The products featured on this website are designed and hand-crafted by the Comfort Works team. We create templates from scratch for every cover and every brand. Our beautiful and practical fabrics are selected and tested in-house, and are different from the standard textiles of the sofa manufacturers.

Fabric warranty policy

At Comfort Works, we offer a Limited Warranty on our fabrics which is valid from the date of purchase. This Limited Warranty applies to all purchases of Comfort Works slipcovers from 1 July 2022 onwards.

If your fabric issue is covered by our Limited Warranty, our CX agents will guide you through the process of resolving the issue with a free replacement of the entire set of covers, or a partial replacement of the affected sofa covers. If we replace your sofa covers, you'll be covered by either the remaining warranty from your original purchase or a 90-day warranty from the replacement date, whichever gives you longer coverage.

Each of our fabric collections carries a specific warranty period, with defined defects and issues that are covered within that warranty period.
What the Limited Warranty covers
This warranty is applicable for normal usage following the recommended care guide and exposure conditions, including indirect sunlight, and mildew.

We test all of our fabrics through internal and external testing to ensure they can withstand the everyday use of a household. While none of our fabrics are indestructible, we take every care and precaution to ensure that our warranty and care guide accurately reflects the durability of each fabric.

With this limited warranty, we can assure you that our fabrics, if properly cared for, will last a long time in your home.

Limited Warranty protection for claw-proof velvet
Our Claw-proof Velvet has been tested to be safe, durable, and scratch-resistant for the majority of pet owners. However, the fabric can still be vulnerable to aggressive scratching and biting from extremely sharp claws and strong teeth. As such, we'd strongly advise to mitigate such behaviours whenever possible.

Check out this blog post on how to protect your sofa from pet damage here.

You are entitled to claim a replacement against:
Tearing, breaking, or abrasion results in the slipcover becoming unserviceable after normal use and proper care. If your slipcovers have not held up, do let us know as soon as possible. Please see the image below for reference.

Overall fabric usage & care guide
Following this fabric care guide will help to prolong the lifespan of your slipcovers, and maintain their performance, comfort, and appearance.

  • Clean the slipcovers once a week with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner, as accumulated dirt will accelerate wear and dull the colour of the fabric.

  • After spot cleaning, use a dry cloth to remove excess moisture from the fabric. Allow the upholstery to dry completely before use.

  • Do not expose the fabric to direct sunlight. With extended exposure, ultraviolet rays can create hairline cracks in leather or cause fading or discolouration of fabric.

  • If a snag occurs in your fabric, trim it using scissors. Do not attempt to pull it out, as this could damage the surrounding fibres.

  • Spillage on fabrics may result in discolouration. Any spillage should be wiped with a dry cloth immediately. Do not use bleach (including oxygen-based or commercially advertised as colour protection bleach) on the fabric unless advised by our CX agents.

  • Ensure no sharp objects (or claws) come into contact with the slipcovers to the best of your ability as this may cause snags or tears in the fabric.

    Natural fabrics care guide
This applies to Brushed Cotton, Cotton Canvas, Everyday Linen, Pure Linen, Everyday Cotton, Care+ Linen and Mod Basketweave.

All natural fabrics will soften over time after a few washes. It is also normal to see some pilling in the first few weeks of use for natural fabric. This pilling will stop once the loose fibres in between the thread are gone.

    • Then apply an absorbent such as corn starch over the spill, and allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes.

    • Vacuum the absorbent off, then spray on a mild cleaning solution of soap and water.

    • Rinse the fabric thoroughly to remove all soap residue. Air dry.

    Leather care guide
This applies to Vegan Leather Savannah Saddle, Bycast Leather Urbanskin Kramfors.

    • Do not machine wash or iron.

    • Wipe leather weekly with a clean, damp cloth (avoid harsh chemicals) to remove any build-up of body oil, perspiration, hair, etc.

    • Keep leather dry and away from humidity and direct heat. Do not allow excess moisture to sit on the surface of the leather.

    • In case of spills, stains or dirt, wipe with a clean, damp cloth.

    • Do not treat the leather with oil. Faux leather disintegrates fast after being in regular contact with oil and moisture.
